First off we'd like to thank you for your interest in our unique guild.

FotHB is a light neutral guild who has been around for about six years now, and why? First and foremost would be our wonderful members, some of whom have been around since its creation. Our members are dedicated and willing to do what it takes in order for our guild to not only survive, but for it to thrive as well. It is in this sense that some like to consider us a family.

We all support each other and realize that no one person is more important than another. We do not compete for rank or dice (Most of us anyway), and we do not discriminate against race or alignment. And while we are a light neutral guild, we will gladly accept any alignment so long as they agree to not bring harm to, or cause trouble amongst our members or allies.

We have good standing in Rhydin and would like to keep it that way.

The second aspect which we feel has helped make FotHB so successful is our dedication to bringing our members new and exciting activities which everyone can participate in. Aside from the traditional spars and mass spars, we have a huge newsletter with tons of activities and contests inside, themed MS's, and our longest running and most famous activity, the Battle of the Sexes. Just to name a few! And always thinking up more.

As a perspective member, this should show you that while we mandate activity, it is almost impossible to be inactive in this guild! Even hanging out at the tavern shows us that you are interacting with members and hopefully making new friends.

The most important thing to know about us before you apply is that while we do have dice and our activities help you earn experience points, dice essentially are of little use to us. Almost all our spars are set dice, and we have never been to war but rather choose to coexist peacefully among the plethora of other Rhydinan guilds. So if you are here because you like to have fun and make lots of new friends, the please feel free to fill out an application!

What do you, personally, consider as decent role playing? Is it having fun, being constantly serious, or being a nit pick over trivial things (description and/or choice of words or other things) You tell us.




Here is a basic scenario for you to show how you RP. Your character has just been knocked on the ground and you have to counterattack. It doesn't matter how you attack, or how you say they were knocked over. It's purposely vague to see what you can come up with.

Write up your reaction to the hit, and your counterattack. Type as little or as much as you want. We only do this to get a sense of how a person plays. So we don't end up with people who say: "::falls:: ::kicks u:: ::sreams lik A reTarrd:: ::pwns u cuz i ro00kzzOorXz:!!11!1!::"

I,, wish to be in the Fellowship of the Holy Beacon, and to help my fellow members and those in need. I will not severely and purposely harm any of my fellow members, much like I would not severely harm members of my own family. I furthermore understand that this guild is not about warring against the world, exercising power over others, and/or "being better" than everyone else. This guild is meant to be a haven to those who want relief from all that, a family to those with none, and I do wish to be a part of that.

And if I suddenly decide to ignore all this, and become a power hungry jackass who bullies people around or treats others like crap, and/or goes on a killing spree, I know Fox will throw me out faster than I can blink and say "my bad". Only because that spot has been filled.
